Art Basel 19
The nature installation ‘Use/Abuse’ at Art Basel in Basel scrutinises the relationship between man and tree.
The video installation accentuates this relationship by reversing the proportions. Details on a large surface create proximity, arouse curiosity, recall the value of the everyday to the consciousness of the moment and allow us to see the familiar anew.
The entire installation was realised from conception to naming, construction management, video production and post-production.
Die Naturinstallation «Use/Abuse» an der Art Basel in Basel hinterfragt die Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Baum.
Die Videoinstallation akzentuiert diese Beziehung durch umgekehrte Grössenverhältnisse. Details auf grosser Fläche schaffen Nähe, machen neugierig, rufen den Wert des Alltäglichen ins Bewusstsein des Moments zurück und lassen uns Bekanntes neu sehen.
Die gesamte Installation wurde von der Konzeption über die Namensfindung, Bauleitung, Videoproduktion und Postproduktion ausgeführt.
